Pendragon is a ten-book series, all ten books being out. D.J. Machale is the author behind this genius book series, a slightly less famous author, but a talented one nonetheless.

The series is about a young boy named Bobby Pendragon. On a day he was scheduled for the finals in a basketball tournament, his Uncle Press comes and tells him a Traveler, a person that can travel from dimension to dimension with the duty of stopping a chaos that is about to unfold in that specific dimension, or Territories as they are actually called. Each Traveler has a ring he uses to open up the transportation devices called Flumes. After he leaves, Bobby also uses this ring to send journals to his best friend, Mark and Courtney. In his journals he tells them each detail about what has happened in the territory he is on.

There are ten Territories:

PendragonFirst Earth-This is Earth back in the 1930's.

Second Earth- This is the current Earth we are living in.

Third Earth- This is Earth in the future, around the year 5000.

Denduron- This is a more primitive Territory with two main races, the Milago, a sort of dwarvish race, and the Bedoowan Knights, which are fully grown humans, who live in a castle with primitive lighting.

Cloral- This territory is highly advanced, but is mostly water. The people living on it have made artificial land that they can grow food on. They have highly advanced technology, including globes that morph to their head shape and allow them to breathe underwater.

Veelox- This is a territory that has a thing called Lifelight, a device that allows you to go into a virtual world and experience the perfect life. As everyone spends their lives in Lifelight, the civilization is deteriorating.

Eelong- This territory is full of dinosaurish creatures, and instead of having humans as the main species, they have Cat-people. Their are still humans, but the humans are non-educated slaves.

Zadaa- This territory has two main races, the Rokador and the Batu. The Rokador live underground and control all the water, while the Batu live on the surface and are at the mercy of the Rokador's decision.

Quillan- This territory is a place where people have rings on their arms that glow. The territory is based around games where Challengers risk their lives. To win is to live the life of a king, but to lose is death. People bet on these games to win money, food and drinks, or other goods. If they win the bet, they get rewarded, if they lose they are killed.

Rayne- This territory has almost no technology, but they instead live on an island and live in a technology-less life. They live in huts made by themselves, and the only technology they have are cannons hidden in the water to stop intruders.
