How To Write a Story

Welcome to my page on How to Write a Story. It might seem like a stupid or obvious subject, but some people do have trouble writing stories and they need help on how to write.

The main reason people write stories is to vent, act like they are in a better reality, or to simply just have fun and be able to write a story without others judging them.

The first thing about writing a story is the idea. You need an original idea. You don't want to rip off someone else's idea. If you're going to write a story and rip off someone's idea, you might as well not write at all.

The second thing you need is to make sure you will be able to work on it from time to time, and not leave it unedited for months at a time.

The third thing you will need are some valid character names. I recommend not using your own name, use different names so it doesn't seem as uncreative.

The fourth thing you need is to make sure you always keep more than one copy of it. Whether on a USB stick, or having the file saved on more than one computer, that way you always have a default incase something happens.

The final thing you need is to have some fun with it. Put in some suspense, plot twists, hooks for the reader, comedy, romance, adventure, action. Any of these is good. Think about who is going to read it. Are they going to want to hear about a gorey and horror story, or do they want to hear about a young couple in love who go through some comedic and hilarious adventures?

That's all you really need to write a story, so have fun with it, have an original idea, and enjoy writing!
